Space for Engagement
More Than My Disability
November 2, 2024 - March 8, 2025
This photographic celebration of diversity features UNCG students, faculty, and staff who came together in 2022 to volunteer their pictures and stories of living with one or more chronic conditions and/or disabilities. Both individually and collectively, their narratives speak to the fact that while chronic conditions and disabilities are part of one’s identity, they don’t define anyone.
This exhibition was organized by UNCG’s Zeta Phi chapter of the Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society, the Career and Professional Development Office (CPD), and the Office of Accessibility Resources and Services (OARS). Participant photographs were taken by Vivian O’Brien, employment data and marketing coordinator in CPD.
The Weatherspoon is honored to have the opportunity to present this installation in conjunction with our current exhibition Crip* | Artists Engage with Disability, which you’ll find on the second floor.
