As of March 7, 2022, face coverings are optional inside UNCG buildings, including the Weatherspoon Art Museum.

The Weatherspoon has six galleries and a sculpture courtyard with over 17,000 square feet of exhibition space.

Exhibitions: See what’s on view before you arrive. View our museum map.

Lockers: A limited number of lockers are available for backpacks and bags. Food and drinks are not permitted inside the galleries.

Parking: Free visitor parking is available at the museum. Pick up a parking pass inside at the visitors desk.

Photography: Flash photography is not allowed. Some exhibitions may restrict photography. Look for signs or ask a staff member.

Sketching: Pencil and non-permanent drawing materials are permitted.

Tours: Guided and Self-Guided Visits are available. Groups may schedule a visit by using our Group Request Form.

Coffee: The museum now offers coffee and espresso drinks by Borough Coffee in our courtyard Tue-Fri from 10am-3pm. They also have baked goods by Black Magnolia Southern Patisserie.
Note: food and beverages are NOT allowed in our galleries.

Facility Use: Currently, Weatherspoon spaces are being used for a full schedule of museum exhibitions, programming and events. At this time, WAM cannot accommodate facility rental requests from UNCG groups that are not connected to museum programming. For more information, please contact bsyoung@uncg.edu.
