Kathy Goodkin

Kathy is the Academic Learning Coordinator for the Weatherspoon Art Museum’s Cole Levin Center for Art and Human Understanding. Her work in this role is animated by her commitment to public arts and humanities education, and she finds joy in facilitating access to transformative educational experiences. Across her career, Kathy has integrated humanities teaching and administration in both public and private institutions, as well as community-based settings. Kathy holds a BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an MFA in creative writing from George Mason University, and is completing her dissertation for a PhD in English Literature at UNC Greensboro. Her creative and scholarly publications include two books of poetry and an article on Elizabeth Bishop’s ecopoetics. She lives in Greensboro, where you can find her walking, reading, writing, spending time with her husband and children, and playing music.
