Brenda is an alumna of UNC Greensboro, where she earned a BFA in Painting. She is also a visual artist whose practice explores the intersection of identity, culture, and personal experience. Raised in Greensboro by Mexican immigrant parents, she draws deeply from her heritage and the complexities of growing up in a bicultural environment. Her mixed media work powerfully reflects her lived experiences—particularly the emotional and psychological dimensions of her Mexican roots and the challenges of navigating life with a learning disability. Her goal as a Visitor Services and Security Associate is to create a welcoming space for everyone and to help students and newcomers better understand the museum and its work.
