The Office of the Provost, the Weatherspoon Art Museum, and Faculty Senate invite UNCG faculty to a special gathering on Thursday, March 23 from 4:30–6pm. The gathering is the third in a series of events designed to deepen our connections, share what it means to be part of the UNCG faculty community, and celebrate all the ways we continue to support each other.

Mona Flynn, a doctoral student in Kinesiology, will lead two 20-minute sessions of a yoga and walking meditation exercise to small groups of interested faculty. The first session will start at 5pm and the second session at 5:30pm.

In the Space for Engagement (first floor), You Choose Card Game, facilitated by the Visitor Engagement Fellow, is an opportunity for you to curate your own exhibit from the Weatherspoon’s permanent collection.

Professor Emilia Phillips and several of her students will conduct a poetry reading in the museum’s Space for Creativity (first floor). The poetry reading will start at 5:20pm.

The UNCG Jazz Trio will perform in the Courtyard throughout.

Finally, the second floor galleries currently have a number of exciting exhibits on view including Gilded: Contemporary Artists Explore Value and WorthTo Serve the People: Prints from Mexico’s Taller de Gráfica Popular, and Endia Beal | Corporate Disclosure.
