Author Talk: Imani Perry

Saturday, Apr 11, 8:00AM - 6:00PM

Location: Greensboro Cultural Center

The Weatherspoon is excited to partner again with the Greensboro Bound Book Festival. This spring, we’ll welcome National Book Award–winner Imani Perry to speak about her latest writing, Black in Blues: How a Color Tells the Story of My People. Working simultaneously from a deeply personal perspective and across multiple disciplines, Perry charts the color blue and the idea of Blackness from their earliest roots to their many embodiments in contemporary culture. Watch the Weatherspoon website and greensborobound.com for more details as the full festival schedule takes shape. Support provided by the Weatherspoon Art Museum, UNC Greensboro, Cole Levin Center for Art and Human Understanding Fund.
