Join us in conversation with Dr. Rebecca Zorach, contributing author to the Gilded catalogue, as we explore the centuries-long, globe-spanning history of gilding with a particular eye to its complex uses in both politics and religion. Dr. Zorach is the Mary Jane Crowe Professor in Art and Art History at Northwestern University. Her publications include Blood, Milk, Ink, Gold: Abundance and Excess in the French Renaissance (2005) and Gold: Nature and Culture, co-authored with Michael W. Phillips (2011).
