Learning to see objectively and communicate clearly can be useful skills in many situations, but they are especially critical to those in healthcare and human service professions.

The Art of Seeing program was developed by WAM in 2010 to enhance the visual diagnostic, interpretive, and communication skills of UNCG undergraduate Nursing and Kinesiology students by carefully examining works of art. Since then more than 1,000 students from 14 academic disciplines have participated in the Art of Seeing.

WAM is pleased to now offer The Art of Seeing to community and professional groups interested in adding observation strategies to their training or team building activities. Workshops are limited to 15 participants and take place in the galleries. For information, including fees and scheduling, contact Ann Grimaldi, Curator of Education, at ann_grimaldi@uncg.edu.
