SUMMARY:Student Artist Talk with Tyler Jones
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first ever student artist talk featuring Tyler Jones on Thursday, March 28th at 6:30pm.\nTyler Jones is a UNC Greensboro senior majoring in Art History. He is a member of @co_wam. Tyler specializes in using oil pastels and ceramic sculptures to tell the story of the African Diaspora from his perspective. His work combines themes of socio-politics with aesthetically pleasing yet non-idealized portraiture of Black people to analyze gender and racial social narratives.\nCheck out more of Tyler’s work: @sonofyogi @xc.art_\nA program created by WAM Student Engagement and Belonging interns May Darby and Vanesa Colindres.\nThis is a free event. All are welcome.\n
